The Corn Huskers have had another forgettable season in the Big Ten conference, leading to a 7-20 record with all seven of those wins coming at home. Nebraska is also 1-9 in their last ten games, and have lost three straight overall. The Hawkeyes are not living up to last season’s standard but have still accumulated a 19-8 record although the team has struggled as of late going 6-4 in its last ten games. These two teams played just twelve days ago in Iowa where the Hawkeyes dominated Nebraska by a score of 98-75. Iowa holds a distinct advantage over Nebraska in almost every statistical category including field goal %, rebounding, true shooting % and both offensive and defensive ratings.

The only thing that gives me pause here is how Nebraska has played better at home, especially as an underdog. I still don’t see how Nebraska can match Iowa’s size, especially down low. Iowa ranks 32nd in the nation with 10.7 offensive rebounds per game which should give them plenty of second chance opportunities against Nebraska. Iowa is almost the much healthier team as we head down the stretch towards the Big Ten tournament, with zero injuries on its report. Don’t overthink it, Iowa is the far superior team and should win this game handily. I am laying the points with the Hawkeyes even as a heavy road favorite.
