Pac-12 Championship: Oregon (10) @ Utah (17) -2.5

Oregon Ducks football

Once again the Pac-12 Championship comes down to the Ducks and the Utes in a rematch of the 2019 game. More importantly, it is a rematch from Week 12 where Utah dominated Oregon in Salt Lake City by a score of 38-7. Utah won’t have the home fans or elevation in their favor this week as the game is played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Utah sits as a field goal favorite at most online sportsbooks, just as they did when they were at home in Utah. Surprisingly, we can probably say Oregon has improved in the weeks following that game, although it has been an inconsistent team all season long. Wins against Ohio State and cross-town rival Oregon State offset disappointing losses to Utah and Stanford. The running game is still strong, ranking 29th in the nation, while the Ducks have thrived on third downs, ranking 7th overall in third down efficiency. The Utes don’t have the dominant defense they have had in years past, and will need their 61st ranked run defense to somehow slow Oregon down. Utah is also 113th in third down efficiency allowed, which means Oregon will have a great chance at extending their drives throughout the game. Oregon has steadied the ship these past few weeks and looks more confident than they have in recent seasons. Kayvon Thibodeaux is a stud and a potential number one overall pick in the NFL draft, while the rest of this defense will need to show up. The two teams match up well, and there will be a ton of running the ball. Give me Oregon catching three points on a neutral field, and I also like the Under 59.0.
