Los Angeles Charges vs Baltimore Ravens -2.5

In a matchup between two of the league’s hottest teams, we get to see two early candidates for league MVP in Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson. The Chargers are coming off a see-saw battle with the Cleveland Browns, in a game that saw a combined 89 points, including 398 yards and 4 passing touchdowns from Herbert. Perhaps just as impressive, Jackson led the Ravens to a second half comeback on Monday Night Football last week, in a game where he threw for 442 yards and 4 touchdowns, while adding 62 yards rushing. It was truly a career moment for Jackson, who is shrugging off doubters this season by taking to the air more than ever before. In an odd twist, the Ravens defense is actually the weakest unit in this game. Although it was able to make some timely plays on Monday, they’ll certainly have their hands full with a Chargers offense that far outranks that of the Colts. The Ravens defense has given up 33, 35, 17, 7, and 25 points with the Chiefs being the only real competent offensive unit they’ve faced. I also think the handicap of this game is that the Ravens are riding high in the public eye after winning dramatic prime time games over Kansas City and Indianapolis. Take the Chargers +2.5 and take them on the moneyline as well because I think they win this game outright.
