Problem Gambling

I always thought of *gambling addiction as any other type of addiction, problematic. I have friends who when they go out can have two drinks and then stop for the night. I even know some people who can smoke one or two cigarettes’ a week, or even month and that’s it. I don’t know how people can do that, but many do. There are also people who can have a limit on how much they will lose, either online, or at a land based casino and then stop once they reach their amount . Some folks have a max of how much they will win, then stop when they get to that point, collect their winnings and call it a night.

Then there is the flip side. Hitting ones' two drink minimum and then having four, or five more. Setting a limit on how much to gamble, then go over that limit and tell themselves they will be more carefull tomorrow. If that’s you, we would rather you leave this website. We are very serious when we say no one here wants you to gamble the rent money, or kids’ college fund.

It can be fun winning a few hundred dollars, but it’s no fun losing more than you can afford to lose. Sportsbooks and casinos do not care if you have buyer’s remorse; you aint gonna get back what you lost and, you may lose a lot more than money. So please take our heartfelt comments regarding problem gambling and click over to Gamblers Anonymous if you think you have a gambling issue. It may save you more than cash.

*Addiction has nothing to do with morality, it's about having a problem that needs attention!
