College football gears up for week two this week. There were no real shakeups in the top 25 last week. Usually the top-ranked teams win easily the first couple weeks, when teams like Wisconsin get South Florida, or Penn State gets Idaho and wins by 70+ points. There were a couple of scares though. Florida struggled against Miami, in the first half anyway, and barely held on to win 24-20. #11 Oregon was leading #16 Auburn, but Auburn won the 4th quarter 14-0, and ended up winning the big comeback game 27-21. This week, we have a lot more of those ranked-teams vs. nobodys- Alabama vs. New Mexico State for example, where Alabama is a 55 point favorite, but we also get to see #9 Texas host #6 LSU. The Texas Longhorns are a 6.5 point home dog in this game, and the over/under is 55.5 points.

LSU has a whopping 80% chance of winning this game, which is surprising to me. For one, Texas is ranked in the top 10- 9th. They are at home. They were big underdogs in last year's Sugar Bowl and still beat Georgia. Both teams are coming off blowout wins. Texas won 45-14, and LSU won 55-3 last week. For Texas, they enter this game with a little momentum, this will be one their biggest home games in the last decade, and it's a game I think they have a good shot at winning, and is especially worth a risk at +200 money line.
