NFL Pre-season winding down

The NFL pre-season is about halfway over. A couple games left for each team to play, and then it's on to the regular season, which officially kicks off on Thursday, September 5th, when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers. Chicago is a 3 point favorite for the opener, and since the home team usually gets 3 points in the odds just for being at home, this game is supposed to be a real close one. Even though it's a couple weeks away, I think the Bears will get the victory at home, granted the team stays healthy for the next 2 weeks. Week one will conclude on Monday the 9th with two games. The Saints will be at home against the Houston Texans, where they are a 7 point home favorite, and a big over/under at 53.5 points.

Houston just put up 30 against Detroit, and QB Deshaun Watson looked really sharp. I'm hoping to pick him up for my fantasy team. That game will be followed with the Oakland Raiders, in what will be their last home opener as the Oakland Raiders as they will be the Las Vegas Raiders next season, playing the Denver Broncos. Oakland is currently a 2 point favorite, and the over/under is 43 points. So we're still 2 weeks away from opening kickoff, the teams are making a few last minute decisions to see what players stay and which ones go, who will start and who won't, and who will remain healthy. It's the time where every team is in first place, each has a shot at the Super Bowl, for a few weeks anyway!
