The NFL pre-season is now just a week away. There are a bunch of prop bets and lines up already for things like best/worst regular season record, most passing yards/ touchdowns, rushing yards, etc. The early favorite to win MVP is Patrick Mahomes at +500. He had a huge rookie season last year, and may end up passing even more this year now that their star RB Kareem Hunt is on the Browns. But right behind Mahomes for MVP is Colts' QB Andrew Luck at +700 which is a bit of a surprise to me, especially since the over/under on Colts' wins this season is 9.5 games. The Bears' over/under is even lower at 9 games.
Based on their season last year, having a year more experience and looking to avenge that first round home playoff loss, I think the Bears are good for at least double-digit wins. The New England Patriots- the defending Super Bowl champions- have the highest over/under at 11.5 wins. That will be close, I think they will be right around 11 or 12. They are also favored to win the Super Bowl with a +700, followed by the Chiefs and Saints both at +800. The Miami Dolphins are the team least expected to win. They are +15000 to win the Super Bowl, and their over/under regular season wins is only 4.5 games. Too bad for the Dolphins. If they can somehow make it to Super Bowl LIV-54- in February, 2020, they will have home-field advantage, as the game is scheduled to be played at Miami Gardens, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
