NHL Hockey Semi-Finals

We're almost set for the NHL Semi-Finals. The St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins, and Carolina Hurricanes all advanced, and we're just waiting on the game 7 winner of the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks. The Sharks do have home ice advantage for game 7, and are -140 with the money line. For San Jose, this will be their 2nd game-seven in the first two rounds. Not only do the Sharks get home ice, but they likely will get their captain Joe Pavelski back too. He did skate with the team for the first time since his injury on Monday, so if he doesn't suit up, and the Sharks advance, then he'll at least be back for round 3 if they get the chance to play the Blues. This series has really went back and forth. It's been Sharks, Avs, Sharks, Avs, Sharks, and Avs, so if history repeats itself in this series, it looks like the Sharks will win game 7.

Three of these games, including the last 2 , have been decided by just a goal, and three of the games have had exactly 7 goals. San Jose came from behind 3 separate times in game 6, the latest time sent the game to OT, but they fell behind again, and once you fall behind in OT, there's no chance to comeback as it's sudden death. But despite not being able to close it out, they have to like the resilience they showed to bounce back 3 times in a game, and on the road. Now they will get a bit of an upper hand at home. I think the Avalanche will actually prevail in this one. I have a feeling it will be a low-scoring affair, that the under will come in, and we'll be seeing the Blue vs. Avalanche in the Western Conference Finals next week.
