The top 4 teams in the NCAA Men's basketball coaches poll remained unchanged from last week. Tennessee, Duke, Virginia, and Gonzaga still hold down the first 4 spots. And don't look now but Kentucky has moved up 3 spots to the #6 seed. They are 16-3 but have been playing really well as of late.
With the Super Bowl on Sunday, there are only 2 college basketball games scheduled early in the morning Sunday. #14 Villanova is hosting Georgetown and #17 Purdue is hosting Minnesota. But Saturday there will be plenty of games starting early and ending late. A couple of the big games will be #15 Louisville hosting #9 North Carolina, and #11 Kansas hosting #16 Texas Tech. I think the Kentucky Wildcats have an interesting match up when they travel to Florida to take on the Gators. Florida is only 11-8 this year, and they have only won 2 of their last 5 games. Kentucky, meanwhile, has won 6 in a row, and 9 of their last ten.
In those ten games, they beat North Carolina, Auburn, Mississippi State and Kansas. I think Florida will be one of those games that they take for granted. Florida actually has about a 50.8 percent chance of winning this game according to ESPN. Kentucky still has to face Vanderbilt and Florida goes up against Ole Miss before they play each other. Tip Off is 4:00 pm EST from Florida.
The line isn't out yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Wildcats get a little sloppy in this one and the Gators get the upset.
