The Milwaukee Bucks would have to be my surprise team in the NBA this year. They have the highest winning percentage in the East at .739, and so they are the top seeded Eastern team, yet they are a half game behind the Raptors. This will all sort itself out when each team gets caught up and plays the same amount of games, but for now, Toronto has played 3 more games than Milwaukee, and they have 2 more wins and 1 more loss. That puts the Raptors a half game up on the Bucks, even though Toronto's winning percentage is less at .735.
The Bucks actually have the best winning percentage in the whole NBA, as the top seeded Warriors in the West are 1.5 games behind the Bucks. Despite that, and not surprisingly, Golden State is the top team in the Power Rankings. It should stay that way for a while for the Warriors who have won 7 straight, and just got their all-star DeMarcus Cousins back from his achilles injury. The Bucks are on a nice little 5 game winning streak of their own, and next up for them are the Charlotte Hornets Friday night in Milwaukee. Charlotte is just 4-6 over their last 10 games, and are .5 game behind Miami in the SouthEast division.
Tip off is 5:30 pm PT from Milwaukee, where the poor Hornets have just a 12% chance of winning this game. This could very well be the same two teams facing off in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs later this Spring.
