Monday night, the undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the yet-to-win Pittsburgh Steelers. This game is expected to be a shootout, as the over/under is 54.5 points. Tampa is just a one-point favorite. Both teams are -110 with the money line. The Steelers are off to a rough start. Their star RB Le’Veon Bell is still holding out and their all-pro WR Antonio Brown has hinted that he wants to be traded. He was a no-show Monday, though he did report to work later in the week and should play Monday night. They tied their first game against a Cleveland team that hadn’t won a game-at the time- since 2016, and then lost their second game.
The Bucs, meanwhile, are off to a somewhat surprising 2-0 start, and even more surprising has been the hot play of QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitz started the season with two 400 yard games along with 4 TD’s in each game, becoming the first player to ever do so to open the season. He is only playing because their starter, Jameis Winston, has been suspended the first four games, but when Winston comes back, the Bucs will probably stick with Fitzpatrick if he continues to win over the next 2 weeks. At least if I was the coach, that’s who I would go with.
The last time these two met, the Bucs won 27-24, but that was way back in 2014. The way that the Steelers locker room is in a mess lately, and how hot Fitzpatrick has been, I think the Bucs go 3-0 in what looks to be a very high scoring affair. I like the Bucs -1 with the over for Monday night.
