World Cup Soccer - Mexico takes on Sweden June 27th
Mexico will be playing Sweden as the third match of the group stages at the Ekaterinburg Area on 27th June 2018. Despite being in one of the toughest groups in the World Cup, Mexico has exceeded all expectations by winning both their games against Germany and South Korea.
The skillful and experienced squad of Mexico will be entering their match against Sweden on a high, with the hope of finishing the group stages with a perfect nine points.
However, finding the back of the net against the Swedish defense will require patience, as they have the ability to shut teams out completely. Robin Olsen, Janne Andersson’s first choice, along with the mighty Swedish defense, stopped teams from scoring for 548 minutes, before conceding their first goal.
As the chances of Germany losing to South Korea are extremely low, Sweden will need to go guns blazing, as they need three points to stand a chance of going to the knockout round. Given the fact that Sweden doesn’t give any space for the opposition to gain momentum, they will try their best to score the first goal.
Mexico needs Javier Hernandez, Carlos Vela, and Hirving Lozano to be at their best so that they can find small, yet game-changing cracks in the Swedish defense. Mexico must stop Ola Toivonen and Emil Forsberg in their tracks, as the duo can cause significant damage.
