Vegas Golden Knights vs Washington Capitals Game 5 Preview
The Vegas Golden Knights run the risk of ending their dream start to the season without the Stanley Cup, as the Washington Capitals won the fourth game of the series 6 – 2. Even though the Golden Knights had a decent game, they were unable to make the most of their chances.
The Capitals will be depending on Braden Holtby from keeping the puck out of the net, due to his mind-blowing form. Despite letting five goals past him in Game 1, he has stepped up and let only another five end up in the back of the net, in the last three games. Marc-Andre Fleury is struggling for the Golden Knights, as even his legendary skills are unable to stop the Capitals from scoring at will.
The Golden Knights will have to play as though they have nothing to lose, as it is the only way for them to start making a comeback in the seven-game series. As the Capitals have statistics on their side, which shows that almost every team with a 3 – 1 lead in the series has gone to win the Stanley Cup Finals, since 1939.
What do the Golden Knights have in store for the Capitals at the T-Mobile Arena in Game 5? Are they going to go guns blazing or get overwhelmed by the Capitals confidence?
