Monday Night Football: LA Chargers vs. Denver Broncos Preview
Although the Chargers lost Woodhead to Patriots, Keenan Allen, the standout receiver will be coming back to the lineup. Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen, and Philip Rivers are expected to boost the offense considerably. The defense of the LA Chargers also looks solid this season. Rookie Joey Bosa had a killer performance with 10.5 sacks in 12 games. If everything goes according to plan, Melvin Gordan and Joey Bosa may become one of the best linebacking pairs of this season. Given the performance of Casey Heyward, cornerback for the Chargers, the defense should give the offensive team a hard time.
It’s strange that Denver Broncos didn’t boost their offense after losing Russel Okung to their opponents, LA Chargers as they have to depend on Ronald Leary, who’s performance was inconsistent last season. However, Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas should make life easier for Paxton Lynch or Trevor Siemian. If the Broncos expect their offense to be stable, C.J Anderson, lead running back has to play the all the 16 games.Denver Broncos defense is solid as ever, thanks to Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib are expected to stop the Chargers offense without much trouble.
Although the game will be close, Denver Broncos is expected to go home with a win.
