Super Bowl 51: New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons Preview
After a jaw-dropping 266 games this season, only one is left to be played. The biggest teams in the NFL face off in Super Bowl 51 with the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons battling it out to win it all. Over the course of the season, it has become obvious that these two teams are unstoppable when their offenses are in form.
The NRG stadium in Houston is the site of the big game and it is expected to be one of the highest scoring Super Bowls to date. The Patriots come into this game as favorites as Super Bowl 51 marks their 9th appearance in the national championship game. With quarterback Tom Brady under center, the team have been unstoppable and have the best record in the league with 14-2. Coach Bill Belichick is touted by many to be the greatest coach in NFL history as has managed to get the Patriots into the Super Bowl 7 times since 2002.
Super Bowl 51 marks the first time that the Falcons have made it to the national championship since 1999. They are yet to win a championship in their entire history but will be looking to get it this time around. Matt Ryan has been one of the best quarterbacks this season and is likely to be named MVP. Atlanta are on a 6 six game winning streak and Ryan and Co. have managed to score at least 33 points in each of those games. If there is a team to test the Patriots’ defense, it is the Falcons.
Super Bowl 51 is touted to be one for the ages as both teams are in form and performing exceptionally. The Patriots are favorites in the sportsbooks but in the last 15 Super Bowls, the underdogs have won 11 times, so the outcome is unpredictable.
