Falcons vs New Orleans: Game Preview

The New Orleans Saints host Atlanta Falcons on Monday in Week 3. The Falcons have had an average start to the season whereas the Saints are yet to win a game. Offshore Sportsbooks are yet to decide who comes out on top but many are hoping that the Falcons can secure a close win.

The Saints

New Orleans have lost both their matches this season by close margins. They lost the season opener 34-35 to the Oakland Raiders, and fell again last weekend with a score of 16-13 to the New York Giants. Quarterback Drew Brees had one of his worst games against the Giants with only 1 touchdown pass and covering only 263 yards. Saints also struggled to rush and managed only 41 yards against the Giants. The one hopeful fact for the Saints is that they have beaten the Falcons in 7 out of their last 10 meetings.

The Falcons

Atlanta won big last weekend as the Falcons upset the Oakland Raiders with a 35-28 score. This is not a small win by any standards but the Falcons still have a lot of work to do. Defensively, both teams have to improve to compete with the big boys as the Falcons are allowing an average of 412.5 yards per game and the Saints allowed 368 yards to Eli Manning in their previous game. College football betting experts are predicting a Falcon win but the game is set to be a close one with whoever has the most possession expected to win.
