NFL Football Week 14 kicks off Thursday night, and for many fantasy football leagues, that means round one of the playoffs begins as well. The first game of the week slated is the Tennessee Titans hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans have played well at home this year going 4-1, while just 2-5 on the road. Overall they are 6-6, and they are also 6-6 against the spread. The Jaguars haven't played well at home or on the road; they are 1-4 away and 3-4 at home. This has the potential to be an ugly game with an over/under of just 37.5 points. The Titans are a 4 point home favorite, and they have a 63% chance of winning according to ESPN. Both teams are coming off wins. The Jags had a victory over the Colts last week, shutting them out 6-0, snapping a 7 game skid, and the Titans beat the Jets 26-22, both were home wins.
Earlier in week 3, these two teams faced off and the Titans won on the road 9-6, so I can see where this game will obviously have a little more scoring than that, and I think it actually has a lot more than that previous game and goes over 37.5 points. Titans QB Mariota had a big game last week against the Jets, and that win kept their playoff chances alive. Tennessee still has a lot to play for, and playing at home, against Cody Kessler (in for the benched Jags QB Bortles) should get Tennessee above .500 and they should cover that 4 point spread at home. Jacksonville star RB Fournette is expected to play and probably will have a big night, but the Titans still cover. Kick off is Thursday night at 5:20 PM PT from Nashville.
