College football will officially begin its November games this Saturday. As usual we have some exciting match-ups between ranked teams. #11 Kentucky is hosting #6 Georgia. Georgia is a 9.5 point favorite and I like them to cover that on the road. #16 Texas is hosting #12 West Virginia. The Longhorns are a slight 1.5 point home favorite, and I think they beat the Mountaineers by at least that at home. One game that stands out to me as pretty obvious is un-ranked Auburn hosting # 25 Texas A&M. Auburn is a 4 point favorite at home, and I think they cover the spread and jump back into the top 25 in doing so.
The big game without a doubt is #4 LSU hosting top-ranked Alabama. LSU is a 14.5 point underdog at home? Yea Alabama is good, but how much better are they than the other playoff teams? I don't think 14.5 points better, especially on the road. Now they are given a 78.4% chance to win the game according to ESPN, and win they probably will, but not by more than 2 TD's. They score over 50 points per game, but LSU is only giving up 15 points per game.
In the last 5 games, the only team Alabama beat that was decent was A&M. LSU just beat #22 MSST and #2 Georgia, and lost to then #22 Florida, so this will be the 4th game in a row against a ranked team. They may have a chance to win at home, but if not, I don't see them losing by 14.5 points. Both teams are 3-0 against the spread, so something will give Saturday night, Kick off is at 5:00 PM PT.
