A couple of 4-3 teams will face off on Thursday night when the Houston Texans host the Miami Dolphins. It's an important game for both teams as the Dolphins trail the Patriots by just one game in the AFC East, and the Texans have a one game lead over both the Titans and the Jaguars (who they beat last week) in the AFC South.
Despite the similar records, Houston is a big 7.5-point home favorite, and a whopping -380 with the money line. Miami is +290, and they are given just under 25% to win this game according to ESPN's match-up predictor. A lot of that has to do with the hot play of the Texans as of late, winning 4 in a row after dropping their first 3 games. The Dolphins will be without WR Albert Wilson and DE Charles Harris.
For the Texans, CB Aaron Colvin is listed as doubtful. Dolphins QB Tannehill will miss his 3rd straight game due to a shoulder injury, so Brock Osweiler, the former Texan QB, will get the start for Miami.
The over/under is 44.5 points, which to me is a little high. Miami will be without some big offensive players, and the Texans defense is what has been propelling their win streak, they currently rank 9th in the NFL; Miami is 27th defensively- and offensively for that matter.
The last time these two teams played was in 2015 when the Dolphins won, but before that the Texans won the previous 7 games. Kickoff is Thursday at 5:20 PM PT from Houston.
