Monday Night Football has two teams combined for a 3-9 record face off in Atlanta where the Falcons host the NY Giants. They are led by two QB's having completely opposite seasons. Eli Manning has thrown just 6 TDs and 4 interceptions, (Odell Beckham Jr. catching just one of those) and has been sacked 20 times already this season, while Matt Ryan has tossed 14 TDs and just 2 picks.
Speaking of sacks, the Giants D only has 7 this season, which is the fewest in the NFL. Atlanta Falcons should definitely win this game outright, and I am surprised they are just a 4-point favorite, but I suppose it's because they are pretty banged up. Starting RB Freeman is on injured reserve, and receivers Sanu and Ridley are both questionable to suit up. Both teams are 2-4 against the spread. Atlanta is -200 with the money lone, while New York is +170.
The over/under is pretty high at 54. The New York Giants give up 27 points per game which is what Atlanta scores per game. Atlanta gives up 32 points per game, but NY is only scoring 19.5 per game. I think Ryan has his usual big game, and I also think Eli Manning bounces back a little and has a decent game. I still think he'll throw a pick or two but he'll probably also toss a couple TDs.
In the end, NY will fall short on the road and not cover their +4 points, but I think the over will come in for this one. Kickoff is 5:15 PM PT Monday night.
