Baltimore Ravens vs. Indianapolis Colts NFL Pre-Season Week 2

bet on nfl football

The Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens have met 15 times (including 3 postseason games) in the past, with the Indianapolis Colts winning 10 games and Baltimore Ravens trailing behind with 5 wins. The Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens will hold joint practices Aug. 17-18 ahead of the big game scheduled for Aug. 20 at the Lucas Oil Stadium. The long offseason stretch has had fans clamoring for some action, and they are probably going to get it preseason. The Colts running back competition is an intriguing one even if the unit will likely be used in a committee style. That said, Baltimore has always been a good side to back, especially during the exhibition slate.

Key Players: Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are excited to be getting their quarterback, Andrew Luck back. But, it will be surprising if they let him out on the field preseason. He might get lucky in Week 2, which is normally for reserves, but it will be something that the fans would really want to see. Colts Running Back, Jordan Wilkins is also expected to play a major part in the preseason.

Key Players: Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson is a polarizing prospect for the Baltimore Ravens. Some say Lamar, who was the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner while playing for Louisville won’t transition well from the NCAA to the NFL. Personally I think he will surprise those sceptics’ after settling in. Prior to Jackson only 19 African-American had been selected in the first round of the NFL draft for the quarterback position, with Eldridge Dickey (Oakland Raiders) being the first. Tight-end Hayden Hurst is likely to be playing, even though he’s been battling a soft-tissue injury throughout training. In 2012 Hayden was actually drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and pitched for the Gulf Coast League in 2013.

Predicted Outcome

We expect to see lots of action from the Baltimore Ravens’ second and third units. That will be a good time to get an extended look at Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson, depending on the amount of playing time he gets of course.
