NHL Hockey's Race for the Stanley Cup
With the NHL Hockey Playoffs starting on April 11, all the teams are getting ready to start their quest for the holy grail, the Stanley Cup. Here is a list of worthy candidates, out of which, one team will be the last one standing at the tournament's end:
With a deep roster, the Predators can continue to mount unrelenting pressure on their opponents, till the end of the game.
With the likes of Pekka Rinne at the goal, P.K Subban, Mattias Ekholm, Ryan Ellis, and Roman Josi, on the defense, and Craig Smith, Kevin Fiala, Forsberg, and Arvidsson on the offense, it's hard to see why the Predators will fail.
The Predators will need to fix their power play if they wish to make it all the way to the finals.
Tampa Bay Lightning
As Tampa Bay Lightning missed the playoffs last year, they have come back with a vengeance. With a strong offense, most opposing defenses won’t stand a chance against the mighty Lightning.
Andrei Vasilveskiy, Yanni Gourde, Anton Stralman, Mikhail Segachev, and J.T Miller will demonstrate the strength of the Lightning during the playoffs.
The Tampa Bay Lightning will need to focus on their penalty kills, which is one the weakest in the league.
Vegas Golden Knights
No team should make the mistake of taking the Vegas Golden Knights lightly, given what they achieved in just their debut season. With furious and fast play, the Knights can catch teams by surprise.
James Neal, William Karlson, Jonathan Marchessault, Erik Haula, and Reilly Smith have the skills to win the game for the Golden Knights.
Now that Vegas Golden Knights have to bear the pressure of playing in the playoffs, it can take a huge toll on their abilities.
