“Triple G” vs. “Canelo” for Boxing's Middleweight Title in Las Vegas
Saturdays contest among Gennady Golovkin and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez may not get the Pay-Per-View spectators which the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight did last month, but it will still prove to be marquee worthy.
The matchup which will combine the major titles in the middleweight division is slated for Saturday night in Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. On the line are the top 4 titles in the boxing middleweight division; WBA, WBC, IBF, and IBO with “Triple G”, Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin holding all four.
“GGG” is going into this with a record of 37-0 with 33 of those wins being KOs. Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs) has some momentum coming off a win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. who appeared extremely lifeless and is looking to hand Golovkin’s his first loss at T-Mobile Arena Saturday.
How do you bet on this one? Triple G will be strong in the first 3 or 4 rounds and it won’t be easy for Alvarez, however I want the excitement of betting the underdog and I do believe Alvarez can be an even match boxing “GGG” and win it.
