South Carolina Gamecocks

On one hand, we have the South Carolina Gamecocks who have never come this far in the NCAA tournament ever before! This happens to be the first final four match that the team will ever have played. The main strength of the South Carolina gamecocks is their solid defense, having secured the 31st position at the national level, allowing 64.9 points a night. Their offense is average, however, and stand at the 178th position.

The team has well-known contenders, all led by Sindarius Thornwell, who leads with 21.6 points in addition to 7.2 rebounds per game. Other players include PJ Dozier with 13.8 points plus 4.7 boards and Duane Notice at 10.2 points.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Gonzaga Bulldogs also have a very strong offense. The team ranks 13 in the nation in their offense game. To make things tough for the South Carolina gamecocks, the Gonzaga bulldogs have a great defense as well. Allowing an average of 60.9 points per game, the Gonzaga bulldogs are 4th in the nation in terms of scoring defense. The Gonzaga bulldogs to are playing in the Final Four for the first time. Four players of the Gonzaga bulldogs are in double figures- Nigel William-Goss who makes the highest scores at 16.7, followed by Przemek Karnowski at 12.2 and Jonathan Williams at 10.3.

Although both teams are playing in the final four of the March Madness for the first time, the Gonzaga Bulldogs look like they have an upper hand in terms of both, an offense as well as defense and have a better chance of winning, even if narrowly.
