The New England Patriots Vs Atlanta Falcons
Super Bowl LI, Sunday 2-5-2017
The Big Game begins at 6:30 pm Eastern Time
Super Bowl LI is fast approaching. The New England Patriots will take on the Atlanta Falcons in what is sure to be a high scoring affair. The over/under is currently at 59 points. The Patriots are a 3-point favorite. With the MoneyLine, the Pats are -160 while the Falcons are +140. Atlanta has only one team that won a major sport's championship, and that was the Atlanta Braves back in the mid 90's. New England was 14-2 in the regular season while Atlanta was 11-5. Against the spread, Atlanta has fared well this year as the underdog as they were 6-1.
New England was 10-5 as the favorite against the spread. According to the ESPN Power Football Index, New England has a 55.6% chance of winning. This will be Tom Brady's 7th Super Bowl appearance. I would think at some point, some players would lose focus and drive after winning so many championships, but Tom Brady has something to prove yet again. He was suspended for the first quarter of the season for Deflate Gate, and I think he wants to prove that he can still win without cheating. In fact, it was probably the suspension that fueled this Super Bowl run. Kickoff is at 6:30 PM EST on Sunday February 5, 2017.
New England will be wearing white in this one. The cheapest seat on Stub Hub! is currently just shy of $3,000.00 USD. I think the experience will drive the Patriots to win yet another Super Bowl, but seeing how they typically win their championships by only a few points, and lose by only 3-4 points for that matter too, I think taking Atlanta with the points will be the safer wager for this contest.
