Central Michigan Chippewas vs Tulsa Golden Hurricane Preview
The Miami Beach Bowl battle between Central Michigan and Tulsa will take place on Dec 19th at Marlins Park. The Chippewas are coming into the game with a 6-6 record and offshore sportsbooks are touting the Hurricanes, with their 9-3 record, for a win.
Central Michigan finished their regular season on a lull by losing 4 of their last 5 games. Their only win came against the Ohio Bobcats, whom they beat 20-27. They rely heavily on their offensive pairing of QB Cooper Rush and receiver Corey Willis, who have racked up a third of the team’s passing yards. Their offense has fallen in the last few games of the season, averaging only 22 points per game instead of the 32.2 points that they averaged at the beginning of the season. Their defense is the biggest worry as they have allowed 28 touchdown passes.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
The Hurricanes have had a good season and have lost only 3 games so far. Their offense has been exceptional with their average score in the last 10 games raking up to 44.9 points. They ended the regular season with a loss against Navy, followed by 2 victories, the last one being against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Receivers James Flanders and D’Angelo Brewer have been responsible for 17 touchdowns this season and look unstoppable.
Experts that bet on college football are calling an easy win for the Hurricanes as they have the better offense and defense compared to the Chippewas. But this is a Bowl game, so an upset might be on the cards.
