There's four teams left in the NCAA men's basketball tournament, but only one of them is a #1 seed- North Carolina. They would seem to have an easy game vs. a 10th seeded Syracuse team, but Syracuse is the team nobody wants to play right now. Before that game goes on Saturday evening, two #2's will face off for a trip to the Championship game earlier that afternoon. Villanova will take on Oklahoma, where the Wildcats are a two point favorite. The over/under is 147 points. Oklahoma is +120 with the money line, and Villanova is -140. Both teams beat a #1 seed to get to this point. Oklahoma bumped off Oregon, and Villanova knocked off the number one overall seed in Kansas. In the tournament thus far, Villanova is 4-0 against the spread, and Oklahoma is 3-1.
The Wildcats are 3-0 as the favorite while the Sooners are 2-1 as the "home" team, though home and away doesn't mean much in the tournament since no team really plays on their home court. But this game will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, so I am sure Oklahoma fans will turn out in large numbers, and I think that alone will give them a big edge. OU did beat Nova badly, but that was very early in the season (December) and Nova is a much different team now.
Though Nova is just a 2 point favorite, I am surprised they are favored at all considering OU beat them badly earlier and played in a much tougher conference all year. I think being the underdog surely won't go over well in OU's locker room, and they will play fired up. This game should be close to the end, but I think the Sooners go to the Championship, but whoever wins I don't think it will matter because North Carolina will probably take it all in the end anyway.
