The NFC wild-card round starts this Sunday. Up first is the Vikings hosting the Seahawks followed by the Redskins hosting the Packers. The Vikings and Packers were both 10-5 when they played each other last week. The winner, which was the Vikings, won the NFC North division, while the Packers got second because of that loss, and that is why they face the Redskins on the road this week.
I guess that win was good and bad for Minnesota. Good because they get to host this playoff game vs. Seattle, but bad because Seattle is a better team than Washington, but Washington won their division and therefore gets to host this first round playoff game against Green Bay. My hunch is that Seattle will beat Minnesota, and Green Bay will beat Washington on Sunday. As it stands now, GB is a 1 point favorite and Seattle is a 5 point favorite. Keep in mind, the Vikings are 13-3 against the spread and are 6-1 as dogs.
So it shouldn’t bother them one bit that they are being underestimated again, however, guess which game was the "1"? You guessed it... the Vikings were 2 1/2 point underdogs to Seattle at home and lost by 31. This game is Seattle’s to lose, and I think they win big again, easily covering the 5 point spread.
