Undefeated New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills

The New England Patriots look to keep their undefeated season going as they host their AFC East rival Buffalo Bills on Monday night. The Patriots have been dominating this year, scoring over 33 points per game while giving up just under 19 on average. They will be without their top receiver, however, in Julian Edelman, as he is out after he underwent foot surgery after Sunday’s game against the Giants. He is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

The Bills enter the contest on a 2 game winning streak, but ESPN only gives them a 25.6% chance to win this game. The line is Buffalo +8.5 points. The over/under is 48.5 points. Buffalo is +285 with the money line and New England is -345. I think Buffalo will bring their A game. They are used to the cold weather as well, so it shouldn’t  have much of an effect on them. Kickoff is at 5:30 PM PST, and it will be cold, with the temps in the low 40’s.

I think the Pats will remain unbeaten, but I think they will have another close game, and not cover their 8.5 points. Bill’s coach Rex Ryan knows it will be personal, as he and the Pats go way back to when Rex coached the Jets. The Bills are in 2nd in the AFC East, and holding on to that last playoff spot, so a lot is on the line for them.  This will be their 2nd meeting this season; New England won the 1st game back in week two 40-32. I think the Pats win, but not cover, and it will go below the 48.5 points.
